Fall Is the Best Kept Secret at Kentucky Kingdom

If you have only ever visited in July, you are missing our favorite season. From October 1, 2026 through November 1, 2026, Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom transforms the park, and this year it is the new home of the legendary Jack O' Lantern Spectacular.

One admission gets you more than 30 rides running from day into night, over 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins along the Jack O' Lantern Spectacular trail, more than 6,000 illuminated pumpkins glowing throughout the park, trick-or-treat stations with free candy, live entertainment, and fall food worth the calories. This year's theme is "Planet Pumpkin: A Glo-bal Adventure," with world landmarks and cultural icons carved into pumpkins.

Event hours run Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the Jack O' Lantern Spectacular trail opening at 6 p.m. Day tickets start at $19.99, and all 2026 season passholders get in free, including an exclusive Passholder Preview Night on September 30, 2026.
