Let's enjoy the summer by following the guidelines for

See “Face” for July 10, 2020 update

We ask that you not visit the park if you are not feeling well.

You should reconsider your visit if you or a member of your party:

  • Are 60 years of age or older.
  • Are at higher risk for developing severe illness due to COVID-19.
  • Have recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

Next up HANDS

HANDS (Wash Your Hands)

Mile High Falls America's First Flume of it's kind!

Follow these simple guidelines to hand hygiene.

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • In between scrubs, use the more than 100 hand sanitizing stations located throughout the park.

Next up FACE

FACE (Wear a Mask)

Masks are now required to enter the park, if over the age of 2 years and safe to do so, but maybe removed while on the midways and maintaining a 6’ distance from surrounding parties. Masks are required to enter our indoor retail shops and restaurants.

Here are a few things to know about face coverings while visiting.  Remember, we are smiling at you under these masks!

  • Our team members will wear face coverings while within 6’ of others and safe to do so.
  • Masks should cover nose and mouth.
  • For your safety and the safety of others, face coverings that are loose (like scarfs) or have hard components (like shields) are not permitted on rides.
  • For your safety, face coverings must be removed while you are in the water.
  • Because lifeguards are expected to enter the water quickly, they do not wear face coverings while performing lifeguarding duties.

Next up SPACE

SPACE (Keep Your Distance)

Guests are expected to practice social distancing, allowing 6’ of space between their party and others.   Our team members are available to provide specific instructions at attractions, retail stores, and food stands.

The following are provided to help your party practice social distancing:

  • Physical distancing markers on the ground at park entrance, attraction queues, food stands, etc.
  • Furniture is spaced apart.
  • Seat markers indicate available seats at attractions and indoor dining areas.
  • A few attractions cannot accommodate social distancing and will not operate while social distancing is being enforced.

Next up Keeping it Clean!

CLEAN (Sanitize Often)

Parents can ride too!

Our rigorous cleaning practices have been supercharged with dedicated team members regularly cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces and restrooms.  Here are a few things to know.

  • You may have to wait a moment while team members clean.  Thank you for your patience!
  • You will not see all of our cleaning efforts, as some will occur after closing each day.
  • Help us out!  If you see an area that needs attention, let one of our many team members know.

Opening Dates

Kentucky Kingdom will open on May 8, 2021 and Hurricane Bay water park will open May 27, 2021.

See our full operating calender here and visit our "Today @ KK" page for specific information regarding attractions and park operations each operating day.

Face Coverings

Guests are encouraged to wear face coverings while at the park if safe to do so. Kentucky Kingdom team members will wear face coverings as mandated by the state government as safe to do so.

Effective July 10, Kentucky requires a face covering inside, or waiting in line to enter, retail stores and restaurants.  Our guests must still observe the 6’ social distancing guidelines and we encourage face coverings, if over the age of 2 years and safe to do so, in all areas of Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay.

You do not need reservations to enter the park. We have a 63 acre park to host all of our guests on any given day while following CDC guidelines.

Temperature Checks

We conduct guest and team member temperature screenings using touchless infrared thermometers before entry to the park. Any guest or team member measured at 100.4º or higher will not be permitted to enter and will be advised to follow the instructions of local health officials.

Physical Distancing

Please respect the physical distance between your party and others with a minimum of six (6) feet of space. Ground markings, signs, audible instruction and team member instruction will remind you of this policy.

We strongly encourage you to purchase admission online. You will receive a confirmation email which you can print or present using a touchless process.

Guests unable to purchase admission in advance will be assisted at the park.

The park will operate with enhanced sanitizing and cleaning procedures and safety protocols to provide the best possible protection of guests and team members during the current coronavirus crisis.

Visit our "Today @ KK" page for specific information regarding attractions and park operations each operating day.
