Discovery Meadow Took Root

This spring, guests met a whole new side of the park with the grand opening of Discovery Meadow, a whimsical land where imagination and nature collide. Tailored for young families, Discovery Meadow introduced rides like:

• Woodland Run, a twisting wooden coaster built for thrill-seekers.
• Nature’s Bounty, an exciting ride with playful details.
• Seed Spinner, a floral-inspired spinner that celebrates the cycle of the seasons.

Visitors also met our newest characters: Robin Bloom, a curious nature-lover, and Scout the Squirrel, her fuzzy best friend. With daily meet-and-greets, special shows, and plenty of hands-on fun, Discovery Meadow quickly became a must-see.

Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom Glowed Even Brighter

The annual Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom once again transformed the park into a glowing autumn wonderland, enchanting guests of all ages. Held weekends from late September through October, this seasonal celebration grew even bigger in 2025, featuring:

• Over 1,000 illuminated pumpkins and jaw-dropping pumpkin sculptures like the Derby Horse, Friendly Spider, and Pumpkinseeds.
• Interactive fun like pumpkin-themed carnival games, a charming trick-or-treat trail, a fall Hay Maze, and daytime character meet-and-greets.
• Live entertainment, glowing photo ops, and festive food like Pumpkin Spice Pretzels, Maple Bourbon Soft Serve, and Caramel Apple Cider.

With day-to-night programming, immersive décor, and returning favorites, Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom has quickly become a fall tradition worth the drive.

Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom Brought More Winter Magic

Also returning this year, Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom welcomed families to a winter wonderland full of lights, laughter, and holiday cheer. From twinkling trees to snow-covered pathways, this event continued to expand with:

• The Snow Zone, where guests could speed down a 175-foot tubing hill, roast s’mores by the fire, and build their own snowman.
• Classic rides operating under twinkling lights, giving familiar thrills a festive twist.
• Holiday-exclusive treats like Loaded Potato Soup, Gingerbread Dusted Pretzels, and Hot Chocolate, plus cozy drinks and desserts at favorites like Bluegrass Bakery and Pop’s.

For guests eager to wrap the year in warm memories, 2025's holiday season delivered in every way.

Looking Ahead: Flying Fox Takes Flight in 2026

Next year, adventure reaches new heights with the debut of Flying Fox, a high-speed roller coaster that pays tribute to Kentucky’s aerial agriculture history. Inspired by daring cropdusters and the legacy of pilot Jeb Fox, Flying Fox will send riders soaring through a farm-themed course of loops, dives, and thrilling near misses. With an immersive queue, original storyline, and bold design, Flying Fox is set to become the next can’t-miss ride at Kentucky Kingdom.
