Is A Kentucky Kingdom Season Pass Worth It? A Real Cost Breakdown
November 05, 2026
The math on break-even visits, what each tier includes, and who's honestly better off with day tickets.
A Kentucky Kingdom Season Pass is worth it if you'll visit more than once or twice, and every 2027 pass now includes Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom this winter plus the full 2027 season. Silver starts at $69.99 plus tax, about what one night at Christmas costs with the gate ticket price plus $15 parking. Here's what each pass costs, what it includes, and when a day ticket is still the smarter buy for your family.
Kentucky Kingdom Season Pass Value, at a Glance
-
2027 Silver Season Pass: currently $69.99 plus tax paid in full.
-
2027 Gold Season Pass: currently $89.99 plus tax paid in full.
-
2027 Diamond Season Pass: currently $134.99 plus tax paid in full.
-
All three tiers include free admission to 2026 Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom, the full 2027 season, and free parking every visit, a $15 value each time you come.
-
Payment plan: 8 monthly payments if you start in November or December, about $8.75 for Silver, $11.25 for Gold and $16.88 for Diamond, plus tax.
-
Single-day gate ticket: $49.99 plus tax. Online prices vary by date (dynamic pricing), starting as low as $24.99 plus tax on select off-peak dates.
-
Break-even on ticket price alone: 2 visits for Silver and Gold at gate pricing, and 2 to 3 for Diamond, depending on the date.
Is a Kentucky Kingdom Season Pass Worth It?
Yes, for most families who visit more than once or twice a year. At the $49.99 gate price, two day tickets cost $99.98, which is more than a Silver pass at $69.99 plus tax and even a Goldpass at $89.99 plus tax. Add free parking and your Christmas visit, and the math gets easier.
The exception is a family making exactly one trip, especially if you can lock in Kentucky Kingdom's lowest advance pricing online. At that point, a single day ticket is the better deal. The rest of this guide shows the math both ways, so you can see exactly where your family lands.
How Much Does a Kentucky Kingdom Season Pass Cost?
Kentucky Kingdom sells three 2027 Season Pass tiers: Silver at $69.99, Gold at $89.99 and Diamond at $134.99, all plus tax and paid in full. Each is $30 or more below its regular price: $99.99 for Silver, $119.99 for Gold and $209.99 for Diamond, a $75 savings on Diamond.
You can also spread the cost across a payment plan. Starting in November or December that's 8 monthly payments, and the number of payments shrinks as the season gets closer, so the monthly amount rises the longer you wait.
Silver vs. Gold vs. Diamond: What's the Difference?
Silver covers the essentials, Gold adds drinks and bring-a-friend tickets, and Diamond adds the premium perks. All three include 2027 admission, 2026 Christmas admission and free parking, so the real difference comes down to the extras.
-
Silver: a 10 percent discount on dining, shopping, cabanas and photos, plus discounted bring-a-friend tickets.
-
Gold: everything in Silver, plus a free 2027 souvenir cup with unlimited soft drinks, $3.99 ICEEs, 2 free bring-a-friend tickets, a 15 percent discount, and savings on select sister park and Harlem Globetrotters tickets.
-
Diamond: everything in Gold, plus 2 additional free bring-a-friend tickets, a 20 percent discount, a Skip the Line Pass, early seating at shows, deeper renewal discounts and special perks.
How Many Visits Does It Take to Break Even?
Every pass pays for itself within two or three visits. At the $69.99 gate price, two day tickets cost more than any pass. At Christmas, a $49.99 gate ticket plus $15 parking is $64.99 a night, so Silver and Gold pay off by your second visit and Diamond by your third.
Kentucky Kingdom uses dynamic pricing, so ticket prices change by date. The online low of $24.99 plus tax is a floor for select off-peak dates, not a typical price, so don't count on it for Christmas or other holiday and festival dates. Even at $24.99 a ticket, ticket cost alone would take about 3 visits for Silver, 4 for Gold and 6 for Diamond, the most visits a pass could take. Free parking helps too: your family saves $15 per car on every visit, no matter how many passes are in the car.
Your pass keeps saving you money inside the park. Silver takes 10 percent off dining, shopping, select cabanas and photos, Gold takes 15 percent and Diamond takes 20 percent, and Gold and Diamond add free soft drinks and $3.99 ICEEs. Spend $100 in the park and that's $10, $15 or $20 back, which shortens your break-even even more.
What Is Free Parking Actually Worth?
Parking at Kentucky Kingdom runs $15 per car at the gate, and it's free every visit for Silver, Gold and Diamond passholders. Visit 4 times in a season and that's $60 back in your pocket, on top of whatever you saved on admission. It's an easy benefit to forget about until you're standing at the gate with your pass and not reaching for your wallet.
Does a Season Pass Include Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom?
Yes. Every 2027 Season Pass, Silver, Gold and Diamond, includes free admission to 2026 Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom, which runs November 21, 2026 through January 2, 2027, on select days. That means you can start using your pass this winter, before the 2027 season even begins.
Christmas is a strong first visit for your family, with four themed zones, the state's largest snow tubing hill and more than 1.5 million lights. A pass bought now also covers the whole 2027 season, so one purchase carries you from this winter through next year.
Who Should Just Buy Day Tickets Instead?
A Season Pass isn't automatically the smarter buy. If your family is planning exactly one visit this year, a single day ticket, especially at the advance online price, is almost certainly cheaper than any pass. The same goes for a family visiting from out of town for a single trip who won't be back before the pass expires.
A 2-Day ticket, as low as $34.99 plus tax online, is also worth considering if you're making a short, one-time trip and want two park days without committing to a season's worth of visits. A pass earns its price back through repeat visits, so the real question isn't 'is a pass a good deal,' it's 'will we actually come back.'
Tips for Getting the Most Value From a Pass
-
Start with Christmas. Your pass is good for Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom this winter, so your first visit costs nothing extra.
-
Plan on 2027. Midnight Showdown, a new indoor wooden coaster, opens in spring 2027 with two new lands, Bluegrass Downs and Happy Valley Farm, and every 2027 pass covers the whole season, so you can come back for all of it. Read about the 2027 announcement.
-
Bring your pass every time, including for parking.
-
Choose a tier by the extras you'll really use. If your family wants free drinks, Gold is the first tier that includes them, and if you'll bring friends often, count the free bring-a-friend tickets: 2 with Gold, 4 with Diamond.
-
Use the payment plan if spreading the cost helps your budget. It doesn't change the total price.
-
Check the Season Pass page around Black Friday for any added perks before you buy. Passholder promotions have run around Black Friday in the past.
-
If you're renewing, look for renewal pricing: $64.99 for Silver, $79.99 for Gold and $119.99 for Diamond.
