The Kentucky Kingdom amusement park was visited by nearly 40,000 people over the three-day Memorial Day weekend, topping the record it set in 2014, when the park first reopened.
The attendance was boosted by significant visitation from outside the immediate Louisville area.
Ed Hart, Kentucky Kingdom’s president and CEO, remarked: “Not only did we smash the old record, but more than 7,000 of our visitors came from out of state. In fact, we had guests from 45 different states this weekend."
